To use your Neptune Hosting email account with the built in Mail app in Windows 10 you need to set it up. This is a straightforward process if you know what to do, so we’ve created a walk through video and guide below to help you.

  1. Open Windows 10 Mail

  7. Type in your Account name, this is how the account will be displayed to you within Windows 10 Mail.

  8. Type in Your name, this is how the account will be displayed to other people when you send them emails.

  9. Type in Incoming email server, this will be mail.(your domain name) eg: mail.neptunehosting.co.uk

  10. Choose the Account type, in this case POP3.

  11. Type in the Email address, this is the full email address you have with Neptune Hosting (e.g. yourname@yourwebsite.com).

  12. Type in the User name, this is the full email address, the same as above.

  13. Type in the Password, this is the one you set up with the email address. It needs to be exactly as set up.

  14. Type in the Outgoing (SMTP) email server, this is mail.(your domain name) eg: mail.neptunehosting.co.uk

  15. Leave the four tick boxes ticked.

  18. Click on the newly created account on the right, ignoring the warning message at the top of the screen.

  22. Click the + button to open a new email.

  23. Type your own email address in the To: box, type “Test” in the subject.

  26. The Untrusted certificate window should come up again. Click Continue.

  28. Your test email should appear in the inbox. If it doesn’t, try the Sync button again after 5 minutes, and click Continue on any windows that come up. If it still isn’t working, give us a call and we’ll help fix the problem.
